OFFICE INFORMATION
VINELAND PEDIATRICS, P.A.
(856) 692-1108
01/10/2003
Should an urgent medical problem
arise, call us immediately. Whenever the office is closed, the pediatrician “on
call” will be available to help you. If
the office is closed, you will hear a recorded message stating when the office
will reopen and the phone number to reach the “on call” doctor. We share a coverage arrangement with the
doctors of Pediatric Associates and Dr. Sonia Burgher for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Our answering service number is (856) 794-6042. They will tell you which doctor is on call, and will relay
messages if Vineland Pediatrics is on call, but will give you another number to
call if another group is covering at that time. If a message left with the answering service
has not been returned within 1 hour, please call back as the message may not
have been relayed or received properly.
If you have Caller ID, it is likely that your phone is blocking calls
received from unlisted numbers, and your phone will automatically reject the
physician’s return call to you. To
prevent your phone from rejecting the physician’s call, you must deactivate
this by dialing *87. If you want to
reactivate the block, dial *77.
Our office is open most Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays from 8am to 5:15pm, Tuesdays from 9am to 5:15pm, and most Thursdays 8am
to 5pm. Evening hours are from 6pm to
about 8pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays that
Vineland Pediatrics is on call, the hours are 12pm to about 3pm. During weekend and holiday hours, only
“sick” visits are scheduled and the closing time will vary depending on the
number of calls we receive. Pediatrics
Associates follows a different schedule for weekend and holiday coverage. Their covering physician will inform you of
weekend or holiday office hours.
All patient visits are by
appointment. Time is set aside each day
for sick patients. Please call early if
your child is sick and needs an appointment so that a convenient appointment
can be given with a minimum of delay!
Our group philosophy is that each patient will choose one “primary care doctor”. Patients will receive their routine care (well baby visits, annual physicals, follow up visits) with their primary care doctor. When possible, sick visits will be scheduled with the primary care doctor. However, urgent medical problems may be handled by another doctor, depending on schedule availability.
Routine checkups are scheduled
at the ages listed below. If a child is
sick at the time of a well child checkup, it may be necessary to do a “problem
or sick” visit and reschedule the well child checkup at a later date.
Weeks: 1st well baby checkup
is at 2 weeks of age
Months: 2,4,6,9,12,15,18 Years: 2, and then annually. (Age limit = 21 years)
If your child does not have insurance, or if your policy is not listed (Accepted Insurances), payment for office visits is due at the time services are rendered, unless other arrangements have been previously made. To receive reimbursement directly from your insurance company fill out the section of your insurance form about personal information and attach a copy of our itemized receipt.
Please show us your child’s
insurance card before each visit. If
your insurance prints the primary care office on the card, please be sure it is
Vineland Pediatrics. If the information
is incorrect, your insurance will not pay for the visit and the visit may have
to be rescheduled.
For physician hospital services,
a payment of at least 20% of the bill is due within 30 days of billing. We will allow you 60 days from the time of
the date of the first billing for processing of your insurance claim. After 60 days, the remaining 80% is due.
